Shop policies

How ordering, payment, delivery, returns and refunds work at The Student Hub Shop — in plain English.

Effective 17 July 2026 · The Student Hub Shop is run by Student Hub Ltd, Trinidad & Tobago. This page covers the shop; the rules for the rest of the site live in our Terms of Service, and how we handle your information lives in our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are & how to reach us

The Student Hub Shop sells real books and study packs for SEA, CSEC and CAPE — written by the team that teaches them. It's part of kerwinspringer.com and operated by Student Hub Ltd in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

One honest note: WhatsApp is for questions, not automatic updates. Every real step your order takes — paid, packed, collected, refunded — reaches you by email, and you can check My orders in the shop any time.

2. Prices, currency & member pricing

Our items are priced in US dollars. To keep things familiar, every price is shown in TT$ at the store's current rate, with the US$ amount alongside — the US$ amount is what PayPal actually charges, and the exchange rate in use is shown on your order.

Member pricing

If you're a Student Hub member on mystudenthub.online and your account is linked, some items may cost you less — or nothing — based on your membership tier and the subjects you're enrolled in. A few things worth knowing:

3. Payment

We take payment through PayPal — use your PayPal account, or pay by card through PayPal's checkout. Payment is charged in US$, and your card details never touch our servers (see Your data).

4. Delivery

We deliver within Trinidad & Tobago only, by courier with O-Deliver. Ordering from abroad? WhatsApp us and we'll arrange it with you directly — the online checkout can't do it.

The fee

Where the courier goes

At checkout you give us a street address and choose your city or town. The courier works from your street address plus a map pin — by default the pin is your chosen city's centre, unless we arrange an exact pin with you. O-Deliver will call you on the number you gave to sort out the drop-off, so keep your phone handy. That's also why we ask for a phone number (and an optional backup number).

What the statuses actually mean

We'd rather be accurate than impressive, so your order moves through real steps — each one means what it says:

We typically pack and hand orders to the courier within 1–2 working days, and delivery usually takes 2–4 working days from pickup. You get an email at each real step, and My orders shows the same progress plus any courier tracking reference.

5. Order changes & cancellations

Changed your mind, wrong address, ordered twice? If your order hasn't left us yet — anything up to and including “Courier booked” — message us on WhatsApp with your order number and we'll sort it out.

6. Returns & refunds

If we got it wrong

Wrong item, damaged item, missing item — that's on us and we'll make it right with a replacement or a full refund, including what you paid for delivery. Just tell us within 7 days of delivery, with a photo of what arrived so we can see what went wrong (and stop it happening again). We'll cover the cost of getting the wrong item back to us.

If you changed your mind

These are printed study materials, so a book that's been used or written in can't go back on the shelf. But if your item is unused and undamaged, you can return it within 7 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Return delivery is arranged and paid by you, and the original delivery fee isn't refunded — the courier did the trip either way. Message us first and we'll walk you through it.

How refunds work

Every refund is a real PayPal refund to your original payment method — we don't do store credit unless you ask for it. When we tell you you've been refunded, the money has actually been sent: our system won't record a refund until PayPal confirms it. From there, PayPal typically takes 3–5 business days to land it back in your account or on your card, and you'll get an email from us when it's processed.

7. Stock & availability

The shop shows live stock, warns you when only a few copies are left, and checks stock again at payment — so this is rare. But if two people ever buy the last copy in the same moment and yours comes up short, we'll contact you quickly with three honest options: wait for restock, swap for something else, or take a full refund. Your call.

8. Your data

To deliver a parcel we need a name, a delivery address, a phone number (plus an optional backup) and an email for your receipts and updates. That's what we collect at checkout, and fulfilling your order is what we use it for — the phone number and address are shared with O-Deliver so the courier can find you and call you.

9. Updates, law & questions

This page is effective from 17 July 2026. We may update it as the shop grows — the version published here when you placed your order is the one that applies to it. These policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, same as our Terms of Service.

Questions about anything on this page — or about an order? Message us on WhatsApp or email ceo@kerwinspringer.com. We're happy to explain anything in plain language.
